      @Razvan Hmm, good old times 🙂 Too bad game was simplier if you just hacked it with sword 😄 But learning combos from PaiMei´ish master was fun.

      From old gameplays we can see you can use water to electrify for example, so far we cannot summon it. But we have Conjuration school of magic and many spells are still unknown. Or if you used cold spell, puddle might remain on the ground after the spell ends (but it would probably take way more work. Let them concentrate on important stuff).

      @Gothix You´re right, it does seem logical ... But if defence will grow faster than offense, then dude with higher tiers of equipment will be unkillable.

      In arpgs however it goes like ++++++dmg ++ defence (in Grim Dawn you do just 1/2 dmg to human enemy if you try to pvp (as much as i love the game, don´t 😄 ), but duels are still one shot fests. In diablo however dmg difference was so huge you only took like 17% of dmg (1/6).

      If in Fractured you can manually dodge most attacks and have heals any time you wish, so I´d rather raise the damage A LOT (as the devs themselves stated "you won´t encounter bubble paladin vs restodruid duel" 🙂 ). Or give us option to enchant damage on armour also.

      It’s Alpha 2 – Test 2! Starting in late February / early March (exact date to be announced) and bringing to life:

      Parties;

      Guilds;

      Land parcel management (friends & access levels);

      The first iteration of the Vale of Shadows.

      Before that happens, we’ll send out a survey to aggregate feedback from the past Open Playtest. That will award you with Foundation Points, so stay tuned!

      All in all, melee seems a lot weaker than spellcasters.

      which might change with better equipment as warriors / equpment dependant guys are that - equipment dependant guys 🙂 However having "more magical damage" enchantment on equipment in game with invisibility makes me little nervous.

      And Im curious, whether the game will also favour pet masters in that regard like it has been seen in many arpgs - in Diablo II, Grim Dawn and to lesser extend also in Path of Exile one could finish the game almost naked if pets took the beating 😄

      @Razvan So if we have two same guys with same abilities, one with primitive weapon but best possible tier 2 armour with all enchants and guy with tier 2 weapon with all the enchants possible but primitive armour, who would win (if they also had same skill level) 😛

      I hope damage will scale faster than defence ... or that enchants on armour will increase dps little more.

      @Razvan And we need to know better earlier than later. If demon dude goes angel way to learn all the abilities in furry land to later find out he can PVP no more, we will only have one sad guy with no benefit for gameplay. Why should beastmen have such advantage if they go abomination path - it´s literally the same thing.

      Or they can remove possibility to do any "negative karma actions" for angels - but then it would severely affect their gameplay.

      And if we´re talking about roleplay, in jewish mythology there sure were angels gone rogue 😛

      @maze As the game is based on ADaD, I believe even some magical skills in Fractured might have "dodge" saves - called reflex saves in ADaD. If I take NWN2 as example, many spells have reflex save. I love the idea that spell can either affect you mind / thinking (willpower save), body integrity and resistance to body disabling effects (fortify save) and that you can even completely dodge spell effect (if it´s dodgeable - mostly direct damage dealing spells - projectiles like various arrows ( flame arrow, posion arrow or spells that will test movement coordination like grease ).
      However in Fractured you can "skilldodge" just like you can "skillshot", so you´re probably right that evasion might be subpar - as long as player is skilled, Evasion might not play such big role.

      In melee situation its imo similar - dude with supreme evasion might evade MOST basic attacks (so far so good, because you can also evade crits), but many superdamaging abilities in game have "always hit" property, so you evade low dmg autoattacks, but eat nukes 😄

      Whats more - heavier armour further reduces evasion, so evasion seems like fine bonus, but nothing I´d max unless going ranged character.

      Just for illustration - i went 6 DEX and rather raised my other defences. Attack speed can surely be increased in more ways and If i need some evasion, there are other ways - because if charisma gives such nice bonuses, why go DEX which only slightly increases attack speed.

      @maze The "K" doesn´t fit there to me neither. I would understand if the armour youre wearing would further increase your chance to evade melee / ranged attacks as hits would glance if armour would be thick enough, but I´m sure armour will not protect my "willpower" 😛

      Nevermind, take the table as information, that you need all the accuracy you can get 😄

      @Razvan That´s right. So angels will fall to neutral aligment without further chance to go lower, or will become evil angels (if they can´t go back to demon state)? Hope change back into demon is possible, as it seems not only logical, but also fair (not only for completionists who want all the skills ---> IMO it should be reversely as Demons are full pvp guys; it´s them, who should have access to all the abilities, as they need them them most).

      Yep, no problem with anything except passive advantage in fight which would force you to join guild. Game stating "go guild or go home" is unfair. And even if such system would make it into the game, everyone and their mom would join whatever guild just for passive effects, but if everyone has it, noone has 😛 So please don´t.

      @Razvan Just checked wiki and you´re right about such skills as Firebolt, however I didn´t play much but if I remember correctly, skills like Fireball (which qualifies as skillshot) do hit, but opponent still has chance to negate half of damage (which is better than nothing, but still it´s huge drop in damage if one has no accuracy).

      Bow skills sure will be skillshots, but archers will max perception anyway (and dexterity as stated in wiki). I´d also say melee abilities and melee attacks can be considered skillshots, as enemy will hardly stand on place and with dex 6 and slow 2h weapon you will have to predict position of enemy to even land hit (unless you cc him to stand on place and eat your hit), even then one must have massive accuracy to reliably land most attacks. On the other hand non-skillshot ability like Bash cannot miss. So probably only ranged skillshots will have no or low saves, right?

      Also one huge factor affecting skillshots - L A G - 😕 Hopefully lags will be minimal, but full skillshot dude might be in some serious trouble even with momentary lag spike.

      Now that we know shields will be passive additional armour, what will 2h weapons get to compensate as both will have same dps (armour reduces procentually rather than flat) ? I´d like some kind of more passive bonus damage increase from strenght 😛

    • All abilities have chance to hit?

      In some games I encountered skills that didn´t require hit chance to land (Guided arrow of Amazon, Bloody Pox in Grim dawn loooong time ago, some ground based aoe abilities). Will Fracture also have such things?

      Perception is (unlike rest of attributes) purely offensive ability and while it will probably be viable to go medium - low perception if i stact aim on abilities and equipment, it will probably be impossible to hit anything with PER 6 making the attribute quite mandatory (even for tanks as CC needs aim to land). Are you planning any kind of passive / ability, that would offer more hit chance for a price of lower crit chance (like Resolute technique in Path of Exile), because having like 4% to crit is probably not going to help much, while accuracy will always help?

      Some skills have guaranteed hit chance - skills from warfare for example. Will there be more - maybe something for casters?

      Hope noone will take anything personally, but:

      Would it be possible to make a folder in which I´d load my favourite music (Diablo II ofc) and ingame I´d just check "Play custom music" and it would play? I know I can just turn on youtube or play it from pc (just like when I played the third game of Diablo series - GRIM DAWN 😛 ), but my system specs areaverage at best, those 30 fps I have are border below which I don´t want to get because of pvp (weird thing is lowest and ultra settings give me same dps). No matter, just idea 🙂

      if there's a disarm then you should have to find your weapon. that's one thing to hurt bots (at little). make CC abilities actually work on the screen (like wildstar).

      Im sure there would be guys with invisibility spell + disarm, who would sneak on you, disarm you, rob you of your weapon and leave (easy money ... and easier duel 😄 ). CC was amazing for example in SMITE if you´ve played it. If you were knosked up by Kumbakharna, you actually flew few second, if you were hit by Bakchus´ wine, you couldnt hit anything. CCed by Kabrakan? Just run in circles etc. 😄 But it doesn´t seem like doable in isometric game. Maybe reduce sight to 0 if stunned or so, so you can´t prepare for anything that follows, don´t know.

      to topic - thinking about it, will armour progress as fast as damage ? It was stated by devs that the difference between in damage between Tier primitive and Tier 2 will be cca 20%. Will same apply to armour? Or will defence grow slower?

      @maze how about character with high PER and CHA using this and this further increasing chances to hit - if both assassin and mage are glass canons, first one to land disable or nuke might have upper hand 😄 But Im afraid of permakiting too.
