      But yes, and 2m tall guy with sumo wrestler body can try to be silent rogue, noone says he cannot. But truth is he will suck at it. However noone is forsing him to be anything. He has the choice.

    • Healing (spells / potions) with casting time?

      Just a question about healing - especially during pvp.
      Will healing spells and health potions have some "casting time" - like will it take at least half a second to drink it, so enemy has chance to disrupt it ? In Guild wars 2 you had heal on low cd, but it had casting time, so you could be dazed / stunned etc. and the disrupted skill got few seconds of cd, so you could finish the opponent.
      I know it´s just alpha, but in streams i saw duel of two guys with spears in hide armor who merely scratched each other and with uninterruptable bottles they could continue fighting until one got out of health potions; i´m sure numbers (damage / defence) will be tweaked, but how much time do you expect duels to take? One hit kills doesn´t seem fun, but neither does fight of two restoration druids in WoW. Thank you.

      When the timer runs out (or whenever you get more than 100 damage at once from any source), you’re instantly revealed, so watch out and be tactical about your movements!

      ---> do DOTs stack for that matter (are two dots, each for 51 dmg, considered 100 damage at once if they tick same - once per csecond for example ), or are nukes mandatory?

      @Razvan Concerning CC - imo bludgeoning weapons are CC specialised and abilities using them are also CC oriented (stunning and slowing attacks). But these dont need mana and are quite cheap memorywise. Only stat affecting these attacks are STRENGHT (lenght of stun) and CHARISMA (affecting all rolls, so also chance to CC target). I´d also mention PERCEPTION, but in this case abilities using maces "always hit" and crit chance doesn´t improve CC effect in any way. And however INT does increase WILL saves, so does CHARISMA in a way, it even affects all saves, but also damage of your hits (with damage 50-100, you have bigger chance to deal 100 damage) and even first supportive skill Inspire shows "supportive" nature of the attribute. So for tanks, for CC characters and especially CC tanks Charisma will sure have much bigger role than INT.

      And devs stated that offensive spells can´t be casted in heavy armour, so my guess is you can´t cast not only direct damage spells, but also debuffs ( self buffs and self heals can still be casted in heavy armour if I remember correctly).

      @Jetah Yet "real" dps should outdamage those if both specced fully into offensive, if not, something is wrong, yet it sure happens often - for example in Pillar of Eternity : warrior (tank) would (with proper weapon, stats and passives) outdamage everyone, while being the tankiest dude in party. In singleplayer games it doesn´t matter, it´s about fun. In pvp this would cause serious disbalance and as Farlander said - who would run around in pyjamas, while you can wear heavy armor without penalties? Everyone and their moms would wear heavy armor, any medium / light would be for roleplay reasons only. Lets hope devs balance the choice of spells well, but plate user doesn´t need damage spells, he can facetank, so let him smash enemy melee, what he need is heal, purging debuffs and self buffs so he can keep close and deal damage - these spells will remain usable even in plate, so whats the problem.

      @Razvan Game changed in time. It started with saves like in 2nd edition ADaD (spell, wand, death etc.) and was changed to ADaD 3,5+ (WILL depending on INT, FORTIFY depending on CONSTITUTION and EVADE depending on DEXTERITY - this one also lets you evade melee and ranged physical attacks, not only spells).

      Not sure what "psychic damage" is, but might be resisted by WILL save...future will tell. For now CHA only gives LUCK (overall nice stat to have) and lets you be better "petmaster" - you can have more summons and tamed pets + you can also tame stronger ones with more CHA.

      Check summary topics like this, and if not sure about something, make new topic (but first search to make sure there is none similar yet 😛 ).

      @Tuoni You´re right on this one ... but then dmg would come from suffocating, right? So lets say i stop breathing for 1 second the spell lasts - quite doable 😛 But now we´re quite offtopic, the answer from devs have been given.

      @Razvan There has been topic "will magic be stronger then melee?"...we dont know yet. In 1v1 it might be balanced, but once spells will boost other spells, then team vs team with better magic combost will prevail. But depends how much will "saves" deal with it, how long can be stuns stacked and whether "immunity auras" like aura of immunity fto fire will work (stack with other immunity auras ?..no matter, imunity has nothing to do in PVP).

      @Jairone Wasn´t this skill also in an old arpg NOX as one of wizard´s spell? But sure would be nice, not sure however how much use it would have on such a huge game map (and also patience, as it´s a trap) 🙂

      @Razvan I wouldn´t compare Albion to Fractured mainly because of saves - you may and you many NOT hit, depending partly on rng. And I think we will miss a lot 😄 ( you gotta have at least twice bigger hit chance than opponent´s saves to have quite reliable 85% to actually land ability ... so even then 1/7 hits will miss). So if character invests heavily in CON, CHA (for buffs like inspire) and at least little bit of INT, he might be safe.

      @Jetah And thats what we were talking about whole time - whether 2H dps (weapon alone) is the same as dual weapons dps (weapons alone). Of course with skills it will be different, because some skills will probably not work with 2H, some with dual weapons. Also play style is totally different, it couldn´t be measured in anything per anything.

      Is 2H viable? Yes. Is DW viable? Yes. That´s all.

      Yep, that added little bit of atmosphere into casting, you had to prepare everything manually but also got rewarded for the effort. Arx fatalis was also amazing - you had to draw the spells in real time with your mouse, alas it´s not as doable in isometric game as in 1st person.

      @Farlander From gameplay videos it looked like combination of League of Legends and Albion online. And I see it as good approach, autoaimed casts and attacks like in DOTA2 seems to easy. With some skill (and move speed) you´re actually able to dodge many attacks of your enemy by simply evading their autohits. And casting spells will probably take some skills too (so i believe the statement of devs that you can 1v4 against noobs/lower skilled enemies...at least with proper build 🙂 ).

      stone/bone weapons would do 20% less damage than steel which makes me wonder how horizontal the game will be.

      Exactly ... and thats just one tier above primitive equipment, wonder how many there might be as it´s a fantasy game, so one would expect some magic materials. It would only be horizontal, if steel and higher tiers would also have some kind of disadvantages.
