  @Hashmalash True. Albion for example has very attractive economy system from gold seller point of view, and if DS keeps their vision with Fractured gold, they will have much better starting point and less problems for sure.

Remember perspective has multiple shapes, maybe you are looking at the wrong one. That's the whole point: nothing you have said or what the video is about, I can connect to the design of Fractured. If I really miss something I would really appriciate clearification. To be blunt: I frankly miss the purpose of this thread if you can or will not give a straight answer to a polite question. If I would be up for riddles I would go to a different website.

  @FaustianSoul I think they could add more interesting gameplay if they made creatures & loot weak initially then grow strong & then get weak again. This would force players make the hard decision on when to kill the creatures before another player did. If they are strong to begin with, it is easy to simply kill them & then time the respawn. Vise verse for being weak initially except players would learn to camp before the final growth phase.

I would just add that in horizontal progression game, crafting effort isn't actually on crafting the gear (which was already stated it will be quick and easy), but on customizing it horizontally. The more horizontal modifications you wish to apply to your gear (fit it more for exactly specific type of monster you will go hunt, for example) the more effort should it take. So players will have easily obtainable gear, so they will never be "naked" for long even if they lost everything, but will still need to put in the effort to obtain highly customized gear, designed to be highly efficient for very specific purposes. That's a fair point. The emphasis on modifying gear to fit a situation didn't cross my mind at the time.

  So many ideas getting flesh on them is exciting for me. Alpha 1 was about basic mechanics and UI - things that will look a lot like many other mmorpgs to someone who hasn't read the wiki or faq. Alpha 2 is about making some of what makes Fractured different manifest. I won an alpha key for 1.2, but wasn't able to get into the game world bc of UI issues. It was discouraging, so I haven't been pushing to try to win another key for Alpha 2.1. I figured I'd let them sort out all that and join in the beta I paid for. Now the blog post the devs sent out is tempting me to try again. I posted that update on the GOTA refugee fb page where I recruited 11 others. We'll see if they're tempted too...

Tell us why!: I have seen far too many games fall flat in development. I would love to fund them all but I can't afford to so I guess I am waiting to see it fleshed out a little further first. Also showing us something that makes this particular game unique in a more fleshed out fashion would do the trick as well. I am willing to throw money at any game that can hold my interest long term but it has to hook me in first. So far I see great ambition and a great concept but not enough communication on overall timeframes. A general roadmap or itinerary on what is suppose to be done roughly when would help development timing is difficult this far out. There was an issue with SpitalOS being blocked by Unity. Not one developer could have seen that nor know how the future of that came out. I've backed Crowfall which was suppose to be a 2-3 year project is now going on it's 4-5th year. Star Citizen is much longer in development and CamelotUnchained also missed their marks. Maybe by not having a publisher pushing the release date the developers are actually building a great game, maybe it's causing them to fix everything before releasing, which means they wont release. I'd rather have a longer development time than a game pushed out in 2 years where the developers claim to "fix it in the future" because "it's a live service". Look at Anthem. EA is pretty much done and are doing the same thing they did with another title they closed. Anthem was hyped so much at that E3 with the video they made, then it took them 2 years to make a game based off that video which was nothing like the video. they even offered a roadmap, which they couldn't stick to. they released the Cataclysm content but no media, no press, no ads, not even an email to those that played the game notifying them it was out, despite being 3 months late (that roadmap, you know). I would rather this, I backed StarCitizen, I backed Crowfall, yeah i dont play them but one day, when the game is done, hopefully they will be amazing, in the meantime there are plenty of games for me to play while i wait. same for Fractured, I post here because I like the Foundation system, I like the community, and the discord everyone is a friendly welcoming bunch. so out of all the games (even though iv spent 400,600 on SC. Im most invested in Fractured, thanks to its amazing welcoming community. I hope it always stays this way.

Politicians can be good and evil so things that you do to raise/lower rep in particular city may be different. People should get informed about the city before starting doing things without care. Also a knowledge system may come into play here somehow. ye, something simple but effectove is neccissary for this. if it gets too complex, it loses its allure. another thing i thought of as well to make people consider rep... if you trade with someone with a much lower rep than yours, your rep could drop... reasoning being that you are trading with shady people... when do you ever see a 10* trader doing business with someone in the stolen goods league? i would probably recommend no penalty for trading with people within 20 rep of your own rep... so people with capped rep at 100 can only safely trade with people of rep 80+

  When I played World of Tanks a couple years ago, it had exactly what I see you all arguing for: No alliances Friendly fire Collisions Restricted guild sizes (100) Equal-sized forces The clan wars maps would reset periodically, to give everyone an equal chance of getting on the map Was it the nirvana you describe? Nope. All the best players flocked to a few guilds (clans), who then dominated the best territories, divided it up, stopped fighting each other, and only defended themselves from the lesser guilds who tried to attack. New guilds/players had very little opportunity to play with top-tier players in a clan setting and thus learn how to improve. I was once able to arrange getting one of the professional e-sports players to shotcall a battle for my clan, and the difference was stark, but it was something that simply didn't happen much. Limited battle sizes meant it was impossible to include everyone in my clan who wanted to fight in clan wars, and I continually had to put eager people on the bench, which caused all kinds of drama. Now I'm seeing you all argue for something I already know from experience doesn't work. I don't think you all can truly understand how awesome the zerg meta is for me in Albion, having first experienced World of Tanks! Zergs include everyone, and the lack of alliance limits (and the disabling of friendly fire) mean that the best alliances still want new people, giving those new people a chance to play with very good players and thus learn. I very much want to see that in Fractured.

  @Pwnstar Yes. This is the last week for the current pledge packs offered. You can refer to the news announcement for more details. They will announce more new pledge packs in the future, but they will come with much less or inferior bonuses.
